Over the past three years, the Dominican Republic has experienced notable shifts in its cost of living, driven by  rising rents, labor market dynamics, and inflation. From 2021 to 2024, rental prices have steadily increased, with annual growth rates  between 2.7% and 3.8%. This upward trend is particularly evident in popular areas like Punta Cana, where beachfront apartments can command monthly rents exceeding $3,000. Conversely, more modest accommodations in local neighborhoods or smaller towns may be available for under $1,000 per month.
